The Doncaster HomeChoice website is changing. From 30 April 2014 when you come to view this website it will look different. You will be able to do all the things you can now and more.
Your account page will look slighlty different and have more features than before.
This does mean that on Tuesday 29 April 2014 the website will be unavailable all day while the changes are being made.

St. Leger Homes welcomes Council Strategic Housing staff
On 1 April this year St. Leger Homes are welcoming 32 new members of staff who are being transferred from Doncaster Council’s Strategic Housing, Finance and Assets teams.
The teams cover a range of activities including homeless prevention, right to buy, and bringing empty homes back into use.
The Housing Options team, who deal with homelessness and homeless prevention will be part of the Doncaster HomeChoice team and can be contacted on 01302 862043.
Please be aware that there will be an annual rent increase from 07 April 2014. This means that when you place bids on properties being advertised the rent may differ from that on the advert if you are successful and made an offer.
Private Rented Accommodation
St Leger Homes have a private landlord service managing private rented properties. These properties are being advertised on the Doncaster HomeChoice website you can view them on the property search page using the Private Sector button. If you wish to express an interest in a private rented property please contact the Private Landlord Officers on 01302 862628 option 4.
Changes to the Allocations Policy
From 23 July 2013 Doncaster Council has introduced a new housing allocations policy. There are changes that will affect new and existing applicants. Some existing applicants may no longer qualify to join the register. We have created a fact sheet and provided information to applicants that may no longer qualify. We have an updated guide to Doncaster Councils allocations policy and a frequently asked questions leaflet. If you no longer qualify your application will be cancelled.

On the 14 April 2014 there were 8233 active customers on the Doncaster HomeChoice housing waiting list and 401 customers we are waiting for further information from.
Information for tenants of other landlords
If you are a tenant it is your responsibility to notify your landlord that you wish to move and give the appropriate notice in accordance with your tenancy agreement.
Check your tenancy agreement and check the terms of your tenancy with your landlord.
