Step 1 - Registration

   

You will be able to apply for properties through Doncaster HomeChoice if you are a housing applicant and have registered on the housing register.  To register you can complete an online application form by registering your details first, request a paper form from the Doncaster HomeChoice team or any St Leger Homes office reception or download a printable version of the Housing Register Application.

Either at the start of the scheme or when you are accepted on to the housing register we will write to tell you:

• Your housing application number;
• The band your application has been placed in and your priority date. Click Prioritising Applications for more information;
• The number of bedrooms you are entitled to.

You must tell us if there are any changes in your circumstances so that we can reassess your application and if necessary make changes to your band and priority date.

Property Size

You will only be eligible for properties that are suitable for the size of your family. The following table tells you how we normally decide on the number of bedrooms that you are eligible for:

Bedroom allocations for applicants with children are dependant on their age.

# From 01 April 2009 single people can be considered for 2 bedroom flats due to limited stock of 1 bed flats.

+ Includes confirmed pregnancy of 21 weeks and over.

* 3 bed accommodation will only be allocated if it does not result in a household being overcrowded.
