Advertising Properties

Properties are advertised each week. They are advertised in the following ways:

  • Via Property Search on this website;
  • In Libraries and Doncaster Council Customer Service Centers;
  • In St Leger Homes area offices;
  • In the Doncaster Free Press.

The adverts tell you the location, size, rent and other features of the property to help you decide which properties are right for you.

Where available a photograph of the property or a similar house type is provided and you can access information about the local area and facilities.

The advert also tells you if there are any special requirements that the applicant must meet, such as age requirements and which band will be given priority for the property.

A range of symbols are used to tell you about the property.

Expressing Your Interest in a Property

To apply for a property you must tell us that you wish to be considered for it. You may only apply for a property that is suitable for your family size. Click Step One-Registration for the maximum number of bedrooms that you are entitled to. In some circumstances it may be possible to apply for a smaller property than you are entitled to as long as this does not result in overcrowding.

You can express your interest or bid, as it is also known, in one of the following ways:

  • Online through this website. You will be able to login using your housing application number and the date of birth of the main applicant.
  • By telephoning our 24 hour automated bidding line on 0800 027 6235
  • By SMS text to +447781 484 771

Properties available to rent are advertised from 00:01am on a Thursday morning to 11:59pm the following Monday night every week.

You will be able to bid for a maximum of 3 properties during the time they are advertised. Bids will not be accepted after midnight on a Monday.

Please note your position on the list will change as other people make or withdraw their bids.
