Bungalow available to rent with the Hospital of St Thomas the Apostle in Doncaster

The trustees have asked Doncaster HomeChoice to assist in marketing their alms-houses. In 1557 when the Charity was founded a 'hospital' was a resting place and not a place where you went to when you were ill. The Charity is looking for a deserving applicant of good character whose quality of life would be significantly improved by being offered a bungalow (almshouse).

Within the next few weeks a 1 bedroom bungalow will become vacant at Goodison Boulevard in Cantley, The property has a single bedroom with built in cupboards and dressing table/computer desk, living room with electric fire, walk-in shower room with WC and wash basin and heated towel rail, fitted kitchen with electric cooker and store room housing gas COMBI boiler.

Weekly Rent: £70.00

The bungalow is in excellent condition and designed for single occupancy and located close to local amenities including bus stops, shopping precinct and doctors surgery.

The bungalow is not ‘supported accommodation and, whilst the bungalows are, at the present time linked to the Doncaster MBC warden call system, this is a gratuitous addition and, whilst the trustees have no plans to remove the same – the continuing provision cannot be guaranteed. The almshouses are not ‘sheltered accommodation’.

Pets are not permitted.

To be considered you must be aged 55 or over and currently living in Doncaster.
